I've been incredibly busy, but let me tell you about a recent development we're working on...

Try to imagine an inspection system that uses a camera at the end of a pole to see what’s underneath piers, pilings, and the bottoms of boats… except this one comes with cool wearable video glasses that let you see what the camera sees, right in front of your eyes, without losing focus of your surroundings, or having to look away at a hard to see monitor. Now imagine that you don’t even have to plug this thing into a wall anywhere, because you’re carrying a small 12V battery in a belt around your waist, that also houses your DVR to record everything the camera sees so you can review it later! Trust me when I tell you that this thing is cool. In fact, in many ways, it might even be revolutionary. But more on that later…

For the time being, I’ve finished up our Subsea Laser User Manual, which I am quite proud of… especially because our product is the only one in the subsea industry (that I’m aware of) which complies with FDA and IEC regulations for laser products. (Everyone else’s lasers are illegal!)

And in other recent news, I just picked up a brand new Pentax DSLR, the K10D, for ‘work’ (yeah right), and I’m pretty amazed by it’s quality, so I thought I’d post a quick shot I used it to take of our latest innovation: the “Pancake” housing. It’s not a normal shape, (wide cylinders are really inefficient), but I think it’s interesting because it’s so different from the usual stuff we do.

Let me know what you think, and stop back soon for more info and even some pictures of our other developments!
